The UK's largest CPD & Events Database Lifelong Learning for Built Environment and Construction Professionals

Driven by progressive industry organisations (click here to find out who's involved), this website is a catalyst to enhance learning opportunities for Built Environment Professionals. This national system comprises regional forums that by collaborative CPD programme planning, publication and event delivery aim to increase inter-disciplinary understanding, enable business networking and reduce event costs.

CIC-SE secured funding from the South East Regional Development Agency to pilot a system to bring together the event programmes of five key professional bodies, Constructing Excellence and SECBE. Launched in October '03 the project has received funding for a further two years from SEEDA to develop the system to become the hub of all CPD and other learning opportunities in the South East.

The business case for extending this project throughout the UK has been recognised by key industry bodies. DTI are funding the initial effort to enable the inclusion of all regions. A national forum, with representatives from CABE, CITB-ConstructionSkills, CIC and Constructing Excellence have endorsed the CPD and events system and will steer the national roll out. It has been agreed that the system will sit under the umbrella of ConstructionSkills with strategic direction from CIC. Project Management has been assigned to South East Centre for the Built Environment.
